Technically complex structural alternatives are being evaluated, potentially representing a milestone for buildings of this kind. In a second phase, the developer will configure the new residential units, which will be the first new housing project on Serrano Street since 2019.
This building dates back to 1904 and was awarded the Madrid City Hall prize for the ‘Best House Built’ in 1907. It is a protected building in its fundamental elements. The refurbishment in which Cabbsa is participating includes a comprehensive rehabilitation of the building that will give rise to 10 luxury apartments, exclusive common areas and premises with a surface area of over 5,000 m2.
Cabbsa carried out the comprehensive rehabilitation of the building to transform it for luxury residential use. The ground and second floor apartments have private gardens, while the two penthouses have private roof terraces of 60 m² each, offering exceptional views of the city of Barcelona.
The project, designed and executed by Cabbsa, included everything from the reinforcement of the original foundations and structure to the construction of a new steel structure in the extension area. All installations were calculated and carried out in close coordination with the client in order to tailor them to their specific needs. The result was a home fully adapted to the client’s requirements, delivered within the agreed timeframe and on a carefully controlled budget.
Cabbsa executed the complete construction of this high-end residence, using premium materials and finishes. Notable features include exposed concrete walls and large-format timber carpentry, combining technical excellence with elevated aesthetic value.
