SAN FRANCISCO EL GRANDE LIBRARY

Located within the monumental complex of the Royal Basilica of San Francisco el Grande (a listed heritage site featuring the world’s third-largest dome, after the Pantheon in Rome and St. Peter’s Basilica), Cabbsa was commissioned to build the new library for the Ecclesiastical University of San Dámaso. This project is a major challenge, both due to the significance of the historical site and the central role the library plays in the university’s development. LOPEZ IBOR CLINIC

In one of the most important mental health clinics in Spain, Cabbsa has been contracted by the multinational Group EMEIS (formerly Orpea) to rehabilitate and adapt to regulations this emblematic building in a project that encompasses work over several years. With an important component of facilities, Cabbsa technicians undertake this open center rehabilitation, that is, at the same time that this prestigious clinic continues with its activity. Cabbsa has adopted to these requirements to avoid any impact on patients and equipment of the clinic, while performing these major rehabilitation works.

VELÁZQUEZ XXI

This building dates back to 1904 and was awarded the Madrid City Hall prize for the ‘Best House Built’ in 1907. It is a protected building in its fundamental elements. The refurbishment in which Cabbsa is participating includes a comprehensive rehabilitation of the building that will give rise to 10 luxury apartments, exclusive common areas and premises with a surface area of over 5,000 m2.

CASTELLANA 2, PLAZA DE COLÓN

The structural works were carried out first, followed by the completion of the building envelope and interior finishes. This building occupies a unique location in Madrid (Plaza de Colón), and the developer entrusted Cabbsa not only with the structural phase but, after the successful completion of that first stage, also with additional works related to the envelope and final finishes. SAN SEBASTIAN STUDENT RESIDENCE

The 8,950 m² complex comprises three six-story buildings plus a basement, all interconnected via walkways. The historical glass-block façade of the former Unión Farmacéutica Guipuzcoana headquarters will be preserved. The residence will offer 178 double studios and 6 adapted rooms—362 beds in total.

GRAN VÍA 36 – RAY-BAN FLAGSHIP

The intervention included, in addition to the full rehabilitation of the building’s structural elements, the structural reinforcement required to excavate a new basement—an exercise in high-complexity engineering. Subsequently, all works necessary for the complete fit-out of the premises were carried out to meet Ray-Ban’s specific brand requirements. The construction works were managed in full compliance with the urban planning and heritage preservation regulations applicable to this iconic avenue in central Madrid.
